You'll Freak Out When You See Why There Are Holes Poked In This Red Velvet Cake

There are tons of deliciously creative ways to utilize boxed cake mix, but this one really...well, takes the cake.
Brandi over at The Country Cook figured out a genius way to add texture and flavor to a red velvet boxed cake. It involves cheesecake-flavored pudding (yeah, it exists), crunchy, crushed Oreos, and light, whipped topping. Have I piqued your interest?
Good. Check it out:
Here's everything you'll need, give or take the amounts of oil, eggs, etc., listed on the packaging:
Bake the red velvet cake according to the instructions.
You could also get fancy and make it from scratch...if you really wanted to. When it's done, take a big straw and poke holes all the way though the cake (and snack on the scraps).
Next, mix up the cheesecake-flavored pudding.
Dump the pudding on top of the cake.
Try to get it directly into the holes as much as possible.
Level it off with a spoon...
Let it set in your fridge for about two hours.
Next: the whipped topping.
Think it couldn't get any better than this?
Think again!
Smash up some Oreos in a bag.
Now you're ready to go!
This cake will be a party in your mouth on so many levels.
